Health Care Service Corporation was one step ahead of the national trend toward more accessible (yet still secure) health records, and asked us to develop a simple-to-navigate UI experience for accessing records online. They are currently testing and partnering with hospitals and health care entities to deliver a seamless online experience. We also branded the experience and developed identities for the service itself and several related corporate identites.

The design was a challenge since it had to consider three distinct audiences, all with their own needs and levels of comprehension: patients unfamiliar with industry terminology, the health entities stepped deep in jargon, and lightning-quick intuitive layout for emergency situations. The site ended up with large clickable areas, simple navigation and obvious hierarchy to make a complex environment easy to use.
